Where do you market?
It depends on your business model or type of business. For example, if you own a health food store and your clientele are the athletic, healthy-lifestyle demographic , then you could possibly teamup with another local business to create an athletic event that will be used to market your services, your brand and get face-time with potential customers. Of course you don’t want to spend a great deal on promotions so you will want to create an event that has a low entry fee to off-set the cot of organizing your great idea, which is your great MARKETING idea.
On the Spot Marketing
How do you create an atmosphere which opens up the opportunity for you to take part in on-the-spot Marketing. On-the-spot marketing is natural and happens all the time. As a business owner you are constantly meeting new people, learning about these new people and there is alway an opportunity to lead them to your business. Example of on-the-spot marketing: You are having coffee in the morning and there is a group of runners finishing their workout. You introduce yourself by asking about the morning workout, find out how far they went and then you can speak about healthy breakfast options in the area and maybe they will ask about you and what you do and then you have your on-the-spot marketing opportunity
When Not To Market?
Try to market when it feels wrong and take note of how it feels.
